Abstract
A simple and rapid method was proposed for measuring the heating rate of th e central section of a graphite furnace for atomic absorption spectrometry. The heating rate of a commercially produced A-5 GRAFIT-2 furnace was deter mined from the experimental time dependences of the radiation intensity of the furnace surface recorded for certain preset temperatures within the ran ge 2073-2773 K. Approximating functions for various modes of furnace run up were found.
