Abstract
Fullerenol, C-60(OH)(n) (n is about 24), was investigated by using ele ctrochemical techniques on Platinum electrode in aqueous solutions. Fu llerenol was found to promote hydrogen adsorption during cathodic pola rization, while its electrochemical inertness was observed within the potential window of water. This effect was involved by the formation o f multi-layer adsorption of fullerenol on Pt surface.
