Abstract
A new commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the diagnosi s of Japanese encephalitis virus infections showed a sensitivity of 88% wit h sera and 81% with cerebrospinal fluid and a specificity of 97% with sera from patients with primary and secondary dengue virus infections. Specifici ty aas 100% when samples from nonflavivirus infections were tested.
