Abstract
The binding energy of a shallow donor in type-II quantum wells was cal culated by a variational method, using a single parameter. A type-II A lAs/GaAs single quantum well was chosen to calculate the binding energ y of a shallow donor as a function of the donor position and the barri er width. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
