Abstract
Leukopenia (WBC count < 6.00 X 10(3) cells/mu l) may be a common and incide
ntal finding in healthy Belgian Tervuren.
Further diagnostic testing, including bone marrow evaluation, may not be wa
rranted in a Belgian Tervuren with leukopenia if clinical abnormalities are
not detected.
Leukopenia may be a breed-specific difference in the Belgian Tervuren and m
ay not be of clinical importance in healthy dogs of this breed.
