Abstract
The synthesis of a novel lithium compound [{Li(H2O)(bdmpza)}(4)] [bdmpza = bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)acetate], containing a new "scorpionate" ligan d, and its reaction with a niobium complex to give [NbCl3(bdmpza)(PhC=CMe)] have been reported.
