Abstract
Let D denote the class of bounded simply connected real analytic plane doma ins with the symmetry of an ellipse. We announce a proof that under generic assumptions, if Omega(1), Omega(2) is an element of D and if the Dirichlet spectra coincide, Spec(Omega(1)) = Spec(Omega(2)), then Omega(1) = Omega(2 ) up to rigid motion.
