Abstract
Random-amplifed polymorphic DNA (RAPD) patterns of potato were analyzed. Se veral major RAPD fragments obtained with one primer were cloned and proved to correspond to unique or low-repeated genome regions, including the patat in pseudogene and the gene for subunit 1 of NADH dehydrogenase that was not sequenced earlier. Three of the cloned fragments were shown to be of use a s hybridization probes in the RFLP analysis of potato species and varieties .
