Abstract
Radio frequency magnetoimpedance measurements reveal a pronounced anomaly a t 260 K besides the main metal-insulator transition at 125 K in the double- perovskite material La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7. This feature is not seen clearly in st atic resistivity and magnetization measurements. We suggest that this anoma ly represents short-range magnetic correlations enhanced at radio frequenci es, with the easy axis along the c axis. [S0163-1829(99)08437-4].
