It has been claimed by Patil et al. [Solid State Commun. 99, 419 (1996)] th
at Ce3Cu3Sb4 is a Ce-based semiconducting ferromagnet. In this paper it is
shown, mainly with Hall effect and far-infrared spectroscopy, that no gap i
n the excitation spectrum exists, above as well as below the Curie temperat
ure T-C. A maximum in the resistivity near T-C is due to trapped magnetic p
olarons. The resistivity is an effect of the mobility of the charge carrier
