Fixation of the vaginal vault by high midline levator myorrhapy.

The treatment of prolapse of the vaginal vault is complex and requires abdo minal or vaginal procedures associated with significant morbidity. For the last 10 years, the authors have been using a simple transvaginal vault fixa tion technique which satisfies the requirements of functional surgery : res toration of anatomy, reduced morbidity, easeto learn. This article is inten ded to precisely describe the surgical technique and to present the results based on a series of 51 patients operated bwiththis technique.
