Abstract
Dielectric methods are used to study phase-transition broadening in a (1-x) NaNbO3-xLiNbO(3) system. It is observed that the lowest values correspond t o regions of transition between implanted solid solutions and substitutiona l solid solutions with 0.05 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0 .07. It is shown that the degree of broadening of the phase transition may be varied by phase hardening. (C) 1999 American Institute of Physics.
