Abstract
Excess enthalpies have been measured for the binary mixtures MTBE + benzene , +chlorobenzene, +benzonitrile, and +nitrobenzene at 298.15 K using a Parr 1451 solution calorimeter. While the excess enthalpies of MTBE + benzene a re positive, those for MTBE + chlorobenzene and MTBE + benzonitrile are neg ative. Those for MTBE + nitrobenzene change sign from positive to negative at higher mole fractions of MTBE. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
