Quantitative, replicated altitudinal transects on the three mountains yield
ed 25 caenogastropod species in six genera in four families. Madecataulus F
ischer-Piette & Bedoucha, 1965, is synonymized under Boucardicus Fischer-Pi
ette & Bedoucha, 1965. Presence is noted of the three large species Hainesi
a crocea (Sowerby, 1847), Tropidophora sp. 1, and T. sp. 2. Descriptions ar

Distributional data were available that allowed evaluation of each of the 1
7 Boucardicus species for its conservation status, applying the latest IUCN
criteria. Four species are proposed as Critically Endangered, II as Endang
ered, and two as Vulnerable.
