Abstract
Far infrared laser magnetic resonance (FIR LMR) spectrum of OD ((2)Pi(3/2), upsilon = 0) has been observed. Data are presented for the Zeeman componen ts of the rotational transition J = 3.5 --> 4.5 observed at 118.6 mu m usin g a discharge water vapour laser spectrometer. Theoretical values of the tr ansition magnetic field strengths have been calculated using the best avail able molecular constants. The agreement between theory and experiment confi rms the spectroscopic assignments. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All right s reserved.
