G. Dryburgh et Rw. Ogden, Bifurcation of an elastic surface-coated incompressible isotropic elastic block subject to bending, Z ANG MATH, 50(5), 1999, pp. 822-838
The plane-strain flexure of a rectangular incompressible isotropic elastic
block with an elastic surface coating on part of its boundary is considered
. Incremental deformations about a non-homogeneous finitely deformed config
uration are examined on the basis of the theory of Steigmann and Ogden [7]
in order to study the bifurcation of the deformed block and, in particular,
the effect of the surface coating on the bifurcation behaviour.
