Abstract
This paper gives an overview of recent developments and the present situati on at German universities with respect to research and teaching in psychoac oustics. It also mentions aspects of job perspectives for students with psy choacoustic expertise. This paper is based on information gathered by a wor king group within the technical committee Psychoacoustics of the German Aco ustical Society (DEGA).
