We report a case of aortic aneurysm at the site of subclavian flap angiopla
sty repair for coarctation of the aorta. The dilatation involved the latera
l wall of the proximal descending aorta that had been constructed by the fl
ap. Five other similar cases have been reported in the literature. Diligent
long-term follow-up is needed after surgical repair of coarctation of the
aorta to detect late complications such as restenosis or aneurysm formation
