Abstract
An analysis was made of the vertical distribution profile of Cs-137 in azon al terrain of small river valleys and gorges with a predominance of accumul ative denudation processes in the redistribution of the soil mass (the vall ey of the River Lokna, the Plava area of the Tula region). The established correlation between the inventory of Cs-137 and its depth penetration into the soil confirms the proposition that rite former is incremented by soil p articles containing absorbed Cs-137 being washed in. A negative correlation was revealed between the exposure dose rates and the inventory of Cs-137.
