Abstract
Several N-substituted 11-azaartemisinins were prepared from 11-azaartemisin in in high yield by the DMAP catalyzed addition of terminal acetylenes conj ugated with electron-withdrawing groups. Their antimalarial activities agai nst two drug-resistant strains of Plasmodium falciparum were determined. (C ) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
