Abstract
Section Speciosae Pfitzer & Kraenzl. of the genus Coelogyne Lindl. is revis ed. Sixteen species are recognized, including one new (C. tommii) and one d ubious species (C. dichroantha). Three former varieties are raised to subsp ecies level (C. speciosa subsp. speciosa, subsp. incarnata and subsp. fimbr iata). Two species formerly included in sect. Speciosae by several authors are excluded (C. eberhardtii and C. lawrenceana).
