This paper describes a protocol for electronic payments using existing inte
lligent network (IN) infrastructure. This is of particular benefit to netwo
rk operators who already have a large investment in LN infrastructure. Thro
ugh this protocol they can extend their existing billing systems to support
electronic commerce (e-commerce), Users can be charged for micro-payments
on their telephone bill. This way they may enjoy the benefits of having an
easy, relatively accepted and recognised billing system.
