Abstract
Porosity characterization during electrodeposition of polyaniline-polystyre nesulfonate (PA-PSS) in acid solutions has been performed by means of a qua rtz crystal microbalance (QCM). The quartz crystal impedance analysis was c arried out with a new model that takes into account the porosity of the mat erial. PA-PSS films behave as rigid and open porous films, with deposition rates proportional to the previous deposited area. The increment of the are a produces dramatic changes on the EQCM response, magnifying the viscous da mping of the electrolyte. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserve d.
