Abstract
Very fine PLZT powders with particle size of similar to 200 nm were synthes ized by a nanocomposite method from relatively inexpensive precursors. Pell ets made from these powders were sintered to 96% of theoretical density at 1250 degrees C for 4 hrs. The crystallization, densification and microstruc ture were studied for nanocomposite PLZT in comparison with sintered compac ts made from monophasic processing of the same composition.
