Abstract
1,2-Diaryl-substituted imidazolidines proved to be ring-chain tautomeric mi xtures in CDCl3 at 300 K. Both 1- and 2-aryl groups exerted significant ele ctronic effect on the tautomeric equilibria, which could be described by th e equation log K-X = rho sigma(+) + log K-X=H.
