The possibility of improving the growth rate of different high-quality mari
ne algae was studied. Optimum culture conditions relative to salinities, te
mperatures and pH levels were defined for three species of Nannochloropsis,
Tetraselmis and Isochrysis. In Nannochloropsis, the optimum production ran
ges were as follows: 20-40 parts per thousand, 19-21 degrees C, without usi
ng CO2. The optimum conditions for Tetraselmis were: 20-35 parts per thousa
nd, 19-21 degrees C, without using CO2. For Isochrysis, the optimum conditi
ons were: 25-35 parts per thousand, 24-26 degrees C, also without using CO2
.
