Abstract
Both Neural networks NN and Multivariate Data Analysis MDA techniques were used to determine mechanical tensile properties of steels. NN apparently pr oved better in dealing with non-linearity effects and complex interactions between the predictors. However, MDA was found essential in improving the q uality of the prediction and providing interpretation to the results from N N modelling.
