Abstract
Reactions of 3,7-dinitrodibenzobromolium bisulfate with ten nucleophil es were studied. Primary products of the reactions, 2-bromo-2'-Nu-4,4' -dinitro-biphenyl(3a similar to j) were isolated. Some new cyclohaloni um salts were synthesized by oxidacyclization of the compounds(3e simi lar to g) with potassium persulphate in concentrated sulphuric acid.
