Abstract
Polycrystalline PbTiO3 thin film deposited on Si substrate by sol-gel techn ique was studied by infrared spectroscopy at room temperature. Eight phonon modes were observed in the spectra, which locate at 81,155,207,300,344,460 ,500 and 621cm(-1), respectively. Among these phonon modes, two modes at 30 0 and 460cm(-1) have not been reported before. All modes but the one at 155 cm(-1) were observed shift downward in far-infrared spectra, and the factor s which may cause the shift were discussed.
