Abstract
It is established that under dynamic loading of plastic rocks relaxation pr ocesses are governed by structural, viscous, and migratory mechanisms. The influence of these mechanisms on the phase shift of strains with respect to stresses and on the dynamic aftereffect is analyzed. The interconnection o f the manifestation of these mechanisms with the phase composition of rocks is noted.
