Abstract
Polyclonal antisera and monoclonal antibodies (Mabs) produced against antigens extracted from the liver (UK101) of different mammals (goat, calf, horse) recognize, in immunocytochemistry, over 90% of human tumo rs and some normal human tissues characterized by the presence of a hi gh number of mitochondria. The immunocytochemical cytoplasmic reactivi ty, is similar but not identical to immunocytochemical reactivity to u biquitin and is due to a 14Kd protein.
