Left atrial appendage stenosis

Narrowing at the mouth of the left atrial appendage has been reported after partial surgical ligation of the appendage. This report describes a patien t, without prior cardiac surgery, who had an anatomic narrowing at the open ing of the left atrial appendage demonstrated by 2-dimensional, Doppler, an d color Doppler echocardiography.
