Abstract
We developed a simple and sensitive microplate hybridization procedure with which to identify Borna disease virus cDNA in amplified products from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. The mean values for th e positive PCR products were significant compared with those for any o f the negative products, indicating that this method can be applied to rapidly diagnose a large number of clinical specimens.
