Ws. Bu et al., An interpretation of the formation of alpha- and beta-form crystals in bulk syndiotactic polystyrene, MACROMOLEC, 32(21), 1999, pp. 7224-7225
The crystallization of the alpha- and beta-form crystals of syndiotactic po
lystyrene (sPS) is determined by the crystallization temperature. Being cry
stallized at various temperatures from the melt, sPS forms the beta form cr
ystal at high temperatures above about 230 degrees C, alpha form crystal at
law temperatures below about 170 degrees C and a mixture of the alpha and
beta form at intermediate temperatures.
