Abstract
The present review addresses the question of sexual dimorphism in obsessive -compulsive disorder. It enumerates examples that could be interpreted to s uggest the existence of such dimorphism from the fields of epidemiology, ph enomenology, pharmacology, neuropsychology, neuroimaging and genetics. We c onclude that data, at this point, are too scarce to warrant a firm conclusi on On the contrary it seems that there are enough indications in the litera ture that hint at the possibility of sexual dimorphism to stimulate further research in the held.
