Abstract
A potential application of health care utilization databases is in the determination of contraceptive prevalence. A model linking specific f actors concerning the utilization of modem methods of family planning has been developed to estimate contraceptive prevalence by age group f or Saskatchewan. The limitations of these estimations of contraceptive prevalence are discussed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Inc.
