Abstract
Comparative studies of implanted and non-implanted specimens are carried ou t as model experiments at the test stand according to different testing met hods. Tested specimens were produced of 15 HGM steel and were implanted wit h a nitrogen dose of 2X10(17) ions/cm(2) with 120 keV. The results of the s tudy indicate that nitrogen ion implantation of the 15 HGM steel improves t he friction coefficient and wear intensity.
