P. Weck et al., Fivefold differential cross section of fast (e,2e) ionization of H-2, D-2,and T-2 by a Franck-Condon approach, PHYS REV A, 60(4), 1999, pp. 3013-3019
The fivefold differential cross sections of the simple ionization of hydrog
en, deuterium, and tritium diatomic molecules are determined by the use of
one-center Coulomb continuum wave functions describing the slow ejected ele
ctron. Vertical transitions from the lowest vibrational state of the fundam
ental (1)Sigma(g) state of the target to the vibrational levels of the fund
amental (2)Sigma(g) state of H-2(+), D-2(+), Or T-2(+) are considered. The
results obtained for two different energy resolutions (1 and 3 eV) show tha
t the difference between these three species should increase with a decreas
e of the energy resolution. [S1050-2947(99)04410-8].
