Abstract
We discuss the idea of black hole complementarity, recently suggested by Susskind and co-workers, and the notion of the stretched horizon, i n the light of the generalized uncertainty principle of quantum gravit y. We discuss implications for the no-hair theorem and we show that wi thin this approach quantum hair arises naturally.
