Abstract
At various Russian and non-Russian enterprises, cupronickel sulfide concent rates are roasted for partial removal of sulfur, The oxidation of solid sul fides is a complex heterogeneous process, associated with adsorption, desor ption, external and internal diffusion, and various multistage chemical rea ctions. Therefore, if the process is to be conducted correctly, it is impor tant to study the kinetic aspects of oxidation and the mechanism by which t he sulfide materials react with gaseous oxygen.
