A theoretical analysis of steady, two-dimensional, laminar film conden
sation on a finite-size horizontal wavy disk is studied for the case i
n which a cold plate faces upward. The present study considers that th
e wavy characteristic length amplitude, and the depth of the boundary
layer at the disk edge is equal to a minimum depth. The dimensionless
heat transfer coefficient and the film thickness along the surface are
found to be functions of parameters Pr, Ja, Pa, and the dimensionless
wave length and amplitude. (C) 1997 by Elsevier Science Inc.
