Modernizing the shaft kiln plants at the Honnetal lime works

Shaft kiln groups 5-6 and 9-12 at the Honnetal lime works have been convert ed to the CEMAT process control system. The skip hoist and horizontal troll ey for feeding shaft kiln group 9-12 have been integrated into the system t hrough a power recovery converter unit with high dynamic specifications. Th e inclined hoists at shaft kiln group 5-6 have soft starts which minimizes wear The CEMAT process control system developed by Siemens also contains th e CEMAT-MIS management information system, teleservicing equipment for the control system and a modern data backup scheme.
