Laser-Induced Fluorescence Line Narrowing (LIFLN) measurements of hype
rfine structure splittings performed on the cobalt I transition sequen
ce 3d(8)4s a 2P1/2 --> 3d(7)4s4p z 2D-degrees3/2 --> 3d(8)4s b 4F3/2 a
re presented. The hyperfine coupling constants of the b 4F3/2 level we
re determined to be A = 302.8(1.9) MHz and B= -81.6(18.2) MHz and are
compared with results of both experimental and theoretical studies rep
orted by other authors.
