Abstract
A simple, rapid, convenient and highly sensitive flow injection procedure w ith chemiluminescence detection has been developed for the determination of rutin based on its inhibition of the chemiluminescence from the luminol-po tassium hexacyanoferrate(111) system. The linear range is 2x10(-8) - 8x10(- 6) g/mL and the detection limit is 6.7x10(-9) g/mL. The method has been suc cessfully applied to determine rutin in sophora japonica L. (traditional Ch inese medicine).
