Abstract
Serum folates were determined during the 24 h following the ingestion of 0, 130, 280 or 520 mg of folic acid at 12, 61 and 131 d of gestation in 38 ew es. The response of serum folates increased with the dose ingested (P < 0.0 001) but decreased as gestation progressed (P < 0.005).
