Abstract
Hexarhenium(III) clusters [Re-6(mu(3)-E)(8)(CN)(6)](4-) (E2- = S2-, Se2-, T e2-) are luminescent at room temperature with the emission quantum yield an d lifetime in the order E2- = Se2- > S2- >> Te2- both in acetonitrile and w ater.
