Zj. Xiao, K ->pi nu(nu)over-bar: New contributions from unit-charged scalars in topcolor-assisted technicolor models, CHIN PHYS L, 16(10), 1999, pp. 712-714
We calculate the new contributions to the rare K-decays K+ --> pi(+) v (v)
over bar and K-L --> pi(0) v (v) over bar from the unit-charged scalars app
earing in the topcolor-assisted technicolor models. By using the square-roo
t ansatz for the mixing matrices D-L and D-R, we find that: (a) the new con
tributions from top-pions <(pi)over tilde>(+/-) and b-pions (H) over tilde(
+/-) dominate over that from ordinary technipions pi(1) and pi(8); (b) for
a(R)(ts*) a(R)(td) = -1/4, the enhancements to the ratios B(K+ --> pi(+) v
(v) over bar) and B(K-L --> pi(0) v (v) over bar) from new scalars can be a
s large as a factor 7 and II, respectively; Icl the theoretical predictions
are stm consistent with the data after including the new contributions.
