We report presence of five physically distinct and chemically dissimilar ba
saltic lava flows in the Kosamghat, the epicentral region of the Jabalpur e
arthquake. The major shift (similar to 150 m) in the stratigraphic height o
f the fifth lava flow at the western flank of the Nagapahar range suggests
the presence of a NE-SW trending post-Deccan normal fault in the region.
