Abstract
Reactions of the triply bonded complexes [Re2Br3(mu-dppm)(2)(CO)(CNR)] Y (dppm=Ph2PCH2PPh2; R=2,6-dimethylphenyl; Y=O3SCF3, PF6) with RNC aff ord edge-sharing bioctahedral complexes of the type [Re-2(mu-Br)(2)(mu >-dppm)(2)Br(CO)(CNR)(2)]Y, which are shown to contain Re-Re single bo nds and exist in novel isomeric forms with boat and chair conformation s for the Re-2(mu-dppm)(2) unit.
