Abstract
The unique alkylidene complex [(pi(5)-CSH5)Ta(NEt2)(2)(=C5H4)] 2 is pr epared in low yield from the reaction of [(eta(5)-C5H5)Ta(NEt2)(2)Cl-2 ] 1 with 2 equiv. of MeLi and is fully characterised including an X-ra y structural determination.
